Hi,
I installed VM 2.0.8 multilanguage (english, slovak) on Joomla 2.5.6 without any problems, everything worked perfect.
Then I installed the same installation package of VM 2.0.8 on other site, Joomla 2.5.4, but following error occured:
as I added second language, list of existing categories, products and manufactures is empty in backend.
This content is still available in frontend. I checked database and compared firsts installation with second,
and I noticed that in first (working one) there were 3 tables:
virtuemart_categories
virtuemart_categories_en_gb
virtuemart_categories_sk_sk

while in second (bug in backend) there were 4 tables:
virtuemart_categories
virtuemart_categories_
virtuemart_categories_en_gb
virtuemart_categories_sk_sk

I tried reinstalling VM but no help.

I will appreciate any ideas and help! Thanks

I would use phpMyadmin and first create a backup database by exporting it as an SQL file including a checkmark at "Add DROP TABLE...", then have a look at the duplicate virtuemart_categories tables and delete the older one.

If nothing else works, I would (in this order) uninstall Virtuemart, use phpMyadmin to delete any leftover Virtuemart database tables (also examine the Joomla extensions table), then use ftp to locate and delete Virtuemart leftover files and folders. Next update Joomla to latest version and then install VM2.0.8.e or 2.0.9b.
