J2.5.6 / VM 2.0.8e

I have two modules setup.
Virtuemart categories and Menu type with a menu link to VM account maintenance.

Login as valid user and go to home page index.php.

VM category module links now point to:-
/index.php/component/virtuemart/my_product_cat1

Click "Account maintenance" link in menu "user"
Correctly view account maintenance page. url is:-
/index.php/account-maintenance

Now link in the category is WRONG!:-
/index.php/account-maintenance/my_product_cat1

Clicking this link does not go to category view page.

NOTE:- category name is being appended to current account maintenance url.

Is this bad configuration by me, or a bug?

If a bug, please help me to fix this as soon as possible. I can test a fix immediately.

Thanks,

More information:
If I disable Search engine friendly URLs in Joomla global configuration, it works ok.
however, I would like to run with SEF enabled.

Thanks,

Milbo

Hmm works for me, but my link is always https://vm2.stuprecht/index.php/gardentools.html for example.

in my joomla configuration everything related SEF is activated except the rewriting stuff. in VM I have only tranlsated strings activated. Works everything.
Should I fix your bug, please support the VirtueMart project and become a member

Thanks for the reply Milbo.

Did you try this from the account maintenance page linked from a menu?

Mine is definitely wrong. See the attached screen shot. I am logged into the frontend, on the account maintenance page (see browser address bar)
Note the URL displayed at the bottom (I have the pointer over the first category name in the vm category module.

Also note: I now have the same SEO / SEF setup as you.

Also, In the main menu, I do not have any link to VM (and there are no hidden menus to VM) I have seen mention elsewhere about requiring hidden menus for SEO routing, but I'm not sure how this works. Could this be the difference between our setups?

I have just the vm category module (top level - In the screenshot called "online shop"), and the menu link to account maintenance.

Can you please take another look?
