logout and login again, cart items disappear

I created an account and added some products to cart without check-out but when I re-login my cart is empty. Any idea?

when you add some products in cart, so you don't do anything to make a order?

You must go to cart, and fill infomations and checkout, the finish step you'll have an order!
This order'll pendding by admin of shop!

Hi yes but my question is, how to make the added to cart items stays in an account even a registered customer didn't checkout?

Sometimes customers will add something to cart but not checkout, and when they login to checkout but find the cart items missing that's not really good for business...

Why?
Most of customer, access your web don't login when click buttom Add to Cart, So you won't have anything infomations about that customer??
So you need a order of that customer (call is GUEST), this is just empty informations of guest.
I think you don't need change this funtion !

I want the added to cart items stays in the cart even a registered customer didn't checkout.
So the next time they sign in, the items are still in the cart.

hi that is not wishlist items.

If you see amazon as example, items we added to cart and items we added to wishlist are different.

Scenario:

1) Customer want to buy ITEM A
2) add ITEM A to cart (but didn't have time to go through check out process)
3) Logged out
4) 1 day later, want to checkout ITEM A again
5) Log in
6) Cannot see ITEM A in the cart

Logical way should be ITEM A still in the cart and customer is able to checkout (unless ITEM A is OOS)

I hope the way I explained is clearer this way?

But i'm pretty sure the way Amazon does it can't be done using Joomla! unless you want all your personal details and VM/J! information exposed.

I mean if you really want to know how Amazon does it, you simply need to just look on Amazon... the answer's right there.
