Hi

I've installed Joomla 2.5.6 with norwegian language, and Virtuemart 2.0.8c today. I downloaded the norwegian language pack for VM and installed it. But it is not shown either in frontend or backend even though it says it installed successfully. I have another installation on another host where this was no problem, but that is some months old (even though it has been updated to recent Joomla and VM versions). Could this be some restrictions on the new host (folder restrictions or something)?

Thanks

If Norwegian doesn't show, I suppose you have another language installed (probably English). Did you enable the norwegian language in VM2 Configuration - Language settings?

Hi

Yes, I have specified Norwegian (only) in multilingual shop. Joomla is using norwegian in both front- and backend. It's a "superclean" install; Just installed Joomla, Norwegian Joomla language pack, VM and Norwegian language pack for VM. I've done this on two other hosts and it worked perfectly, but a while ago - one has VM 2.0.6 still, the other has been upgraded to 2.0.8c. Both of these are on different hosts than this last one, though.

Thanks

I would recommend to turn on 'Debug Language' in Joomla and then go to a Shop view and check if Debug finds errors and if it finds the norweginan language files.

Well, the language files seem to not be where they are supposed to:

Examples of not loaded:
**Ikke lastet** : JROOT/language/nb-NO/nb-NO.com_virtuemart.ini
**Ikke lastet** : JROOT/components/com_virtuemart/language/nb-NO/nb-NO.com_virtuemart.ini

The files are not present. So the installer did not manage to copy the files there. Does this mean that it is the VM language pack there's something wrong with, or Joomla itself?

Edit: After copying the files manually to the directories, everything seems fine, but I don't like such errors :)

Thanks
