Need to copy and upgrade, not migrate...Help?

Hi there,
New to VirtueMart, but a long-time user of Joomla.

Here's what I'm wanting to do:

We have an older site already installed with VM 1.1.4.  But we are working on a complete redesign on a beta site and have upgraded everything, including VM which is now 2.0.6.  I do not want to take down the existing site right now, but I also don't want to have to re-enter all the product and existing customer information into our beta site.  Are there instructions anywhere for what fields from our current MySQL database I will want to export, and how to import them properly into the new beta site?  Or is this going to be far more difficult than simply re-entering all that data (there really isn't very much on the current site, I'm just looking for the easiest way to do this).

To import the products.

If you do not have products on the new site, you can migrate the old one, and then import the 2.0 database parts into the new DB

You could do it yourself via mysql, but that is not fun at all
