Adds new product instead of Child

Hi All,

Whenever I try and add a child product, my front end category view displays it as a new product.

I want to achieve the following:

1) Add a new Shirt to my shop
2) Add variants (i.e. Small, Medium, Large) - This is done using a custom field and I can add the various item size to the basket
3) Show if one of the size is out of stock - I have no idea how to do this because whenever I add a child product, it just adds it as a new product so I now have 2 Shirts instead of one shirt with different stock levels for each size.

As of now all you can do is sue generic child variants.

Set the stock of your parent to 0 if you want to stop people from ordering the parent or leave the stock for the parent and take the change of someone ordering it.

From what I understand, this is fixed in the up and coming 2.0.8 release.
