Having issues with Print and PDF view on VM2

When the SEO url-rewriting is enabled, the URL rewrite mechanism fails to rewrite the proper URL for PDF view and print view.
For example; the proper URL for PDF view is supposed to be like this:

http://www.flexiblewebdesign.com/virtuemart-2-template-fashionmart/option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=40&virtuemart_category_id=7&tmpl=component&format=pdf

but once the URL rewrite is enabled, it becomes;
http://www.flexiblewebdesign.com/virtuemart-2-template-fashionmart/product-detail-layout-version-2?tmpl=component&format=pdf

which is not okay, and so far, i couldn't find a way to solve it. Of course i am talking about the regular Joomla URL rewriting, maybe sh404sef or Artio SEF (which are 3rd party url rewriting components for joomla) are able to patch this issue, i don't know.

Has anyone had any experience with this and can they help me?

ive got the same problem i like to use the buttons print and pdf but i got just a white page with the article on it.
if i try a java script to print it prints the whole page.

Apparently there is a fix to this with joomla 2.5.4 +
