Create new variable(s) in a category

Hi, everybody,
Faced a problem. It is necessary for me to add custom fields in category. At first I added fields custom in the file /administrator/components/com_virtuemart/views/category/tmpl/edit_categoryform.php then I added new columns in mysql to the table #__virtuemart_categories. As them now to deduce on this page http://bornleader.ru/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=category&virtuemart_category_id=11&Itemid=132, at me it turned out nothing. I ask for help!
