No phone number field for vendor in BE

There is no phone number field in the BE in shop-> vendor's tab. This means that the phone doesn't appear in the confirmation email ($this->vendor->vendor_phone), because the email doesn't take the information of the additional information tab of the BE. It's possible to set it in the FE when logged in as administrator. There it is in the vendor information fieldset. When filling in the field the phone number also appears in the confirmation email. But as soon as shop informations in the BE are edited it disappears again in the emails.
