Saving parent product removes all images from the children product

Using VM 2.0.6, saving a top-level parent product will remove all images from the children products.  This is a very frustrating issue as it is causing data corruption.  If someone has a fix to this, please post it here so we can implement ASAP.

Ok, I can confirm this is the case.

I'm not sure though that it is only when the parent product is saved.

I have noticed this happening this morning, but I do not believe I saved the product parent.

Testing. Will report back.

EDIT:  ok, yes, definitely happens on parent product SAVE. Images are removed, other child product details are intact.

@mdousset   can you add more info about your setup, in case it's related to that.
