"Edit Image Information" button does nothing

The Edit Image Information button (on product images or category images tabs) doesn't seem to do anything. I'd assumed it was meant to swap the image details for the image you've just clicked on, but nothing happens.

Looking into it very briefly, the AJAX request that it initiates returns nothing:

http://127.0.0.10/administrator/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=media&task=viewJson&format=json&virtuemart_media_id=95

Is this issue known about? I haven't seen anyone else reporting this in the forum.

This button works for me fine joomla 1.5.26 Vm 2.0.4

As you said there is an AJAX request

http://localhost/photo2/administrator/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=media&task=viewJson&format=json&virtuemart_media_id=11

that return a JSON object. Make a try and turn error reporing off on your joomla settings . If you have firebug or similar tool  check the responce you get from this request.

Oh, this looks like a J2.5 issue then, I'm on 2.5.4.

That's how I found that the response was empty in the first place :-)

Seems to be a new problem with 2.5.4, I can confirm it does not work anylonger with it, but I was testing it 2 weeks ago, with my old j2.5 (dont remember which exact version).

Are there any updates on this, how to fix this problem? can't and won't downgrade my joomla version.
Or any hints where i can lookup the json call?

Joomla! 2.5.4 Stable
VM 2.0.6
