Here is the log error on my site:

        Failed loading XML file
        /home/jdltropi/public_html/tmp/com_virtuemart_allinone_update/install.xml
        XML: Document is empty
        XML: Start tag expected, '<' not found
        JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file

        Invalid package type. The update can not proceed.

Try with aio or without Aio
