Custom fields and other questions

I have two languages now, will have four when finished.

My currency is CHF. In English (default) the custom fields act correctly, but in DE the field shows the Euro sign.

Also changing the delivery time in product status does not work. In English I have delivery date set to 3-5 days.
When I change that in DE to 3-5 Tage that is displayed for both languages.

What do I have to edit?

I have looked in the overides folder but saw nothing except for a index.html

I really do not want "€" in my custom fields.

I also tried setting a gif instead of text for availability.
I made a Eng and a DE .gif. Alas, it only shows the last .gif saved not one for Eng and one for De.
