Offsite image link

using vm2 on joomla 1.5 on xammp

building a site that sells plants..............there are hundreds.........customer wants to use a third party photo database that generates
a javascript link to the image in thier db.................

this works fine in product description with sourceror installed.................is it poss to hack the cms to include js? or the tpl file?
or any suggestions pls??

also am i right in assuming that if in product details......i dont incl an image....and i set default to display the default bg
it displays site bg??? or some sort of transp gif???
