using multiple types of views

hi, i'm creating a template, and I need a diferent way to get categories in one page, so I override the view and ok.

but in another page I need another way again to show the categories,  why can I do that?

Make another override view - call it something different than default.php and select it in the Category editor, "Category Browse Page". If placed in the override directory then the filename will appear in that selector.
