Error when I try to add a new shipping or payment method

I just finished a clean installation with no demo products and everything seems to be working but when I try to add a new shipping method the page doesn't load correctly (all formatting gets lost like a css error) and I get an error message:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getListFooter() on a non-object in /hermes/bosweb/web166/b1663/nf.nexomusic/public_html/nefariousxo.com/site/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/views/shipmentmethod/tmpl/default.php on line 92

And when I try to add a new payment method I get:
Fatal error: Call to a member function getListFooter() on a non-object in /hermes/bosweb/web166/b1663/nf.nexomusic/public_html/nefariousxo.com/site/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/views/paymentmethod/tmpl/default.php on line 122

any one have any ideas how i can fix this?

Exactly the same error here. can't add a new shipping or payment method.
a clean installation with demo Products. Joomla 2.5, VM 2.0.1
