Sub categories not show up with general settings VM3.8.9

Hi. Example: i have one category with product and 1 sub category with products. I created menuitem to category and to sub-category. When i click on category item, i can' see subcategory. I can't find solution. I attached all config. Please help me

remember there are settings in the menu and in the category for this

I attached all screen. Category and subcategory has the same configuration. I need to see this subcategory from VM demo like this (see attachment).

Updated:
my site is multilanguage: i can't see sub categories only on default language. Sub-categories is showing with another languages.
i tested with VM 3.6.10 - works fine
vm 3.8.x - default language not showing sub categories

For test i could run test site if need it.
