Subcategories not shown in Chrome-browser

Hello,
I have the problem that the subcategories are not displayed in the category view. They are only displayed after a reload of the page. The problem only occurs in Chrome Browser. There are no problems in Edge or Firefox.
I have tested all possible settings but have not found a solution.
Example:

You are using a custom template. Check with VMBEEZ3 or similar. Just to see if it is a template issue. Which I think it is.

The Javascript errors are no longer there. The problem, however, unfortunately remains.

Have You tried to empty cache or try another computer. As You can see, I seem to be able to access the categories without refresh.

I don't see the subcategories in Firefox - but I do see them in Chrome. Very strange...  The do appear on page refresh, so I'd be looking for a JavaScript issue, too, despite nothing in console.
