Changing the number of related products? (product page)

Which template file do I need to override, in order to change the number of related products that appear on a product page?

Reason 1: We batch import our products to Virtuemart using CSVi, and there are more related products on the page than we would like to be visible.
Reason 2: To (perhaps) improve the performance of the page by getting less data from the DB.
