Please could any one tell me how to remove categories image place holder. Also i can't find the code too

I am uing VirtueMart New Latest version.

What image placeholder? Where? Which template?  A url showing the relevant page would help.

just over ride your

\templates\YOURTEMPLATE\html\com_virtuemart\sublayouts\products.php & categories.php and remove the code for the images
