Remove AJAX changing and load new url

I have a couple of child products, that I can change with a dropdown. At the moment the product gets changed within the same browser window, via AJAX javascript. I was wondeirng if it's possible to let the URL just be reloaded by the browser. That is more suitable in my case.

You have an option in the config to disable product ajax loading.
