Server overload since J 3.8.13

Hi,
the shop www.moebeldiscount.ch runs on its own server, which is great. Until week 41, there wasn't any problem. But since the update to J 3.8.13, I get daily notes from our server administrator that the server is totally overloaded. This leads to regular downtimes, which is more than annoying. What I'm reporting here is just what I get from the server admin:
"In der MySQL-Prozessliste sind erneut diese Prozesse zu finden:

SELECT p.`virtuemart_product_id` FROM `gm60x_virtuemart_products` as p
SELECT SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS p.`virtuemart_product_id` FROM `gm60x_virtuemart_products` as p

Können Sie beim "Hersteller" des Webshops (Virtuemart) eine Anfrage machen und nachfragen wieso diese Prozesse so lange laufen? Allenfalls wird bei einer Bestellung etwas ausgelöst, was nicht ausgeführt werden kann und es wird trotzdem 1-2h versucht?"

What could the issue be?

Hi marscom

I assume your provider is hostpoint :-) Had the same issue just recently (see post http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=141361.0) after stwitching the to the new category view layout.

Switch back to the old virtuemart standard layout in the main menu home entry and reactivate the legacy mode in the shop configuration. This helped in my case.

merssi für den Input. Aber: Nein, es ist ein eigener Server (mit nur dieser Site drauf...) bei einem kleineren Anbieter. Und: es war tatsächlich die Lösung, die GJC Webdesign vorgeschlagen hat. Ein Klick aufs Häckchen - und alles tut wie's sollte.
