use vm as an order request only?

Hi,
My client wants wants no prices shown on the products at the webpage. 
But customers should be able to add products to a list/cart so that this list/cart can be sent to the client for a price request of the total order.
Is this possible to achieve in a way by using VM? .... how ? :-)

set prices to 0.001 so they are "orderable"

hide payment and shipping, change texts etc so reflect this is just a quote order

Yes you can set up VirtueMart to work as a quotation system by using template and language overrides. eg hide the prices at all stages, do not require or hide delivery or payment options and change the cart text where necessary.When submitting the order it is sent to the vendor & copied to the customer.
