Email notifications handling

As of VM 2.0 RC3, in which shopper actions is the Vendor notified by email?
It would be great if the Vendor is notified upon a purchase and when the stock is running low.
I haven't seen any config parameters dealing with this.

Why the interest in a 6 year old version of VirtueMart? Even way back then the vendor normally received an email when a purchase was made. Now there are various mail configration options. As for inventory management there are many third party tools to handle that.
