How to not recieve an email at every order (vendor)

Its been a while since the last post in this thread, but I would still like to know how to disable those emails.

Payments and all that are all automatic, I just don't want every order in my inbox.

How to disable those 'Confirmed order by...'-emails?

I can't find any setting for this.

Create a new order status and enter that status only for "Default Order Status to send email to vendor" in Configuration/Emails

If I remove at config > emails at 'Default Order Status to send email to vendor' the 'confirmed'. Would that do the same thing?
I'm a bit worried about not using the 'confirmed' status as other extensions are reading the 'C' from the database.
