Searching optimized tools

Hello there,

I used to have a vm 2.6.10 site in Joomla 2.5 and now i am redesigning and upgrading to Joomla 3 and Virtuemart 3.

What my client needs is a really fast website (Site has around 10.000 products). Previous site was using cherry picker filters and i was told that this module is making too many queries to the database and its too slow also from that.

I searched and found 2 components for this job and i found from smart addons: SJ Filters and from breakdesigns: Custom filters pro.

Does any one has tried those 2 options in order to have personal opinion about the speed and the functionality?

Also if someone has to propose any other components/modules/plugins that are suggested that are good for virtuemart security/speed please let me know.

Hi,
I wrote for 3 customers own filter module.
It's very simplified compared to some tools to have correct speed on filter display.
I really removed any unused query for the filter, so, no product counting, because this is the slowest part.

Note: some slow down are from the number of customfield and plugin used in ongallery site. I used before own caching system, but in last Virtuemart this is not possible anymore else you have pagination problems but with PHP7 you can use some caching, so on a updated server you can have good speed boost.
