Hi,

I have some problems with my store on VM 3 on lastest Joomla - www.miden.com.pl

When I make changes to categories or modules I don't see any changes on published page.

For example:
I change category name -> no changes on published category
I change category name -> no changes on published category
I change category name -> Changed on amdin panel - but not on published site (!!)
I change category description ->  Changed on amdin panel - but not on published site (!!)

Or I see a change after 20-30 minutes delay.

I have turned off cookies, cleaned cache, no modes to .htaccess.

Please help, WTF is going on with this?!?!?!

Hm.. I've been thinking about it and it is propably cache.
In joomla 1,5 I've never had that problem and I was seeing changes instantly. In joomla 3,5 it's a delay and it's kind of hard to work with it.

So how could I deal with this thing?
If I make a change to module I can see the result next day...

Any chance do disable it, so I could work on a site?

hyh, I think you moderators are not really kind here :O :O

BTW, I was talking about module right now

You don't have to help if you don't want. Please don't treat people like idiots.

GJC Web Design

the flow so far

1. u ask a question
2. it is answered
3. you ignore the answer and ask the question again
4. answer is repeated
5. you complain

what is so difficult about emptying the joomla cache? Everyone else does it...

there are cache emptying admin modules if this really is so much of a hassle...

I turrned off and cleaned all possible cache. I understand categories don't cache.

Going back to discussion; In admin panel I have got category ordering saved and it looks complety different than on published site. I understand this is ok? Will it change some day? I've been waiting about 6 hours, no changes so far.

GJC Web Design

If it is not changing and -> (If I make a change to module I can see the result next day...) after clearing your Joomla cache then u have to assume there is some other caching somewhere

at server level? CloudFlare crap etc?

or is the system Joomla cache plugin on?

Go to System > Clear Cache and clear the cache records related with Virtuemart (i think it's com_virtuemart_cats).
You have to do that every time you change something in your categories.

If this does not help, you probably have some other type of caching.
Could be sql queries caching, site's caching by your hosting provider, cdn or any other caching that can be used.
