no image and warning image

Hello,
i need to set in browse page and product detail page, source code for no image and warning image.
For no image i use this code:

VmConfig::get('no_image_set');

but i don't know which code i have to display warning image and how to know if the image have problem (for example if the image is corrupted).

Can anyone help me?
