Child options not appearing after upgrade to VM3.0.14

We recently upgraded to VM3.0.14. Since then all the child options on products (e.g. sizes) that used to show when you select a product in the front end are not showing. You can add a product to the shopping basket but this is the parent product, whereas it used to be the child product.

Is there some change in 3.0.14 that we need to cater for to make this existing VM configuration work?

You need to tell from what version You upgraded. There has been template changes along the way. Make sure Your template is compatible with VM 3.0.14.

Thanks. It was from 2.0.22. I will have a look at the templates.

I had a look at the templates configuration. Everything is default/Joomla default. I haven't ever created any specific templates or configured anything.

Did you use "Update vm2 order format of customfields to vm3 format" option in Tools?

Test with Protostar to see if the childs work there.

and were they stockable childs (using the old stockable vm plugin?) as this isn't supported in VM3
