Product Navigation Next/Previous buttons not responding

Hi forum,

I recently updated to both new Joomla and VM, but now the product navigation no longer works for me.

If you go to a product, and want to go the the Next or Previous, the text just stays gray, but the page stays the same.
However, the URL in the adress bar does change to the Next or Previous product.

Previous topics about this suggested enabling/disabling SEF, and checking that Joomla and VM have the same setting.
This did not resolve my problem, and both have been enabled for quite a while now (over a year)

This is with all products the case, see for example:

My Product Ordering is set to Product Name, Ascending.

Anyone got an idea what is going on here?

the reason it isn't updating is because nothing is returning from the ajax calls to the new product

Only the product should load in the page.... perhaps template .. have u tried with a std. template?

I tried your link in a browser, it returned a blank page.

About the standard template, I switched to Atomic (one of the templates that came with Joomla) but it did not help.
Virtuemart is also set to use the same template as Joomla, which hasn't changed.

Since you mentioned ajax, I've tried changing the CSS settings in VM.

I turned "Use ajax for product content" OFF, and it worked! However, what could be possible consequences for disabling this option?

EDIT: I just updated another site from VM 3.0.9 to VM 3.0.10, and it has the same issue. Just FYI

yes -- that in a nutshell is the problem ..  one assumes (maybe) the blank page is a fatal error page.. you need to check your logs to see what this is and why 

by switching the ajax off now you are just loading the prev/next page .. if your happy with that then its fine ..
But the other way is faster

I Checked my logs, but I could not find any report related to this problem. Is this possible?
