Hi Please Help Have designed a website but the client requires when the shoppers click buy now in VM to be directed to contact page so that the can submit email .

just change the add to carts in your templates to a link to "the contact" page
But you don't explain very well what you need to do.. contact page? saying?

why not blank out shipping and payment, let them go to cart - change some labels and send the email (i.e. checkout) from there?
but depends what exactly you want to do

Thank you very much for your reply and sorry for not explaining further i have a contact page where shoppers can submit emails to the seller, so what i want is when client locates product when he/she clicks buy now instead of being directed to registration page for payment he/she should be taken to contact page and use contact form.

Maybe you want just to use the option "ask a question", which is native already there
