Shopping Cart Issues

I have VM 2.9.9e installed on a test site using Joomla 3.3.6 (upgraded).

Issues:
1. Shopping Cart module. When I click on the 'show cart', the connection hangs, never taking me to the shopping cart (I immediately tried another link and it works, so not an internet connection issue) I have tried this with the two default templates and various other third party templates. All give the same problem. No warning/error pops up, it just hangs. HOWEVER, when I click on 'add to cart' for a product and the pop up box appears, and I click on 'show cart', it takes me to the shopping cart.

2. Shopping Cart. As far as I can tell I have all my settings set in the config backend but when I get to the shopping cart and click on 'check out now' button the connection hangs and goes nowhere. Other links on the page work fine, whether in the modules or within the content of the shopping cart.

Well, it still isn't working on the test site. But I installed in on another site I will be taking live later this year and it seems to be working fine. Go figure.
