How to hide a category from a catalog and to show it via link in a menu?

Hello.

In VM 2.0.18a I had one unpublished category, which wasn't displayed in catalog(VirtueMart Categories Layout) but it was available via menu link of "VirtueMart » Category Layout" menu item type.

After upgrade to VM 2.6.6 to enter this category via link in main menu I need to publish it before, but this will publish it in a catalog page also, but I don't need this because this is the special category of products which can be made to order, exclusive products in other words.

Is it possible to hide some category from a VirtueMart Categories Layout and to show it via special menu link?
