Testing JM 3.3 & VM 2.9.5 i've found this:

I've set  right Safe Path but i've always this messages:

Notice
Taking config from file

Warning
Warning, the Safe Path is not accessible (does not exist or no permission),...

whats wrong ?

Tetsing with the same configuration.
Revealed some problems
1. Cart is pictures, although this option is enabled in the admin
2.Nastroil coupon does not work and the error
3.Not can create custom fields, gives this error
1054 Unknown column'' in 'where clause' SQL = SELECT `custom_title` FROM `jos_virtuemart_customs` WHERE `` = "Size:" AND `virtuemart_custom_id`! = 0
4.When I push the button Confirm Purchase, 1054 - Unknown column'' in 'where clause' SQL = SELECT `order_number` FROM `cafxt_virtuemart_orders` WHERE `` = "62ef03" AND `virtuemart_order_id`! = 0
5.After the vote on the item card, I have a white screen
