How to add a suffix on prices for specific categories?

I have a client website that sells product in m², i worked out a way to add m² using the currency "positive format" by adding m² which in turns adds the required suffix to all product prices....which is now my problem.

ALL products including the "Accessories" category now has the m² suffix on product where i don't want it, this was obvious as i had added this in the currency selected.

My solution, i though (stupidly by the looks of things) was that i could create ANOTHER currency (using British Pounds only in the store) without the m² suffix and just assign this currency to the products that i do not want this on.....but i cannot get it to work!!!!

PLease please please can anyone give any advice, a solution......i will gladly pay if required, i am no noob with Joomla or VM but this ones smashed my braincell and i REALLY need to fins a solution.

would it not just be simpler to do this at the template level?

Just detect the category and display the m2 depending on that?
