Notify me - does not send e-mail to shopper when stock is raised.

Hi,

I hope someone can help me here.

I run VM 2.0.24 and can not get this feature to work. When I enter a request to be notified when an item is on stock. I get the list of customers wanting the notification on the item card in backend, but it is not sending mail to customers automatically. I have 160.000 items so I will never be on this side to send it manually. Is it a way to make this e-mail go out to the customer automatically?
