Customers see a different product in shopping cart

When customers add an item to the cart, at times it shows a random image of a product rather than the one they chose.  The product name is there and everything works fine besides it confuses the customer into thinking they chose the wrong product.  Any help with this issue.  I am running virtuemart 2.026 d ( the most current version as of January 15, 2014)
