Hello,

On VM 2.0.18a, when setting up a specific category rule - It still applies to ALL categories ... What am i doing wrong?

Maxim Pishnyak

Use latest version.

It looks like your rules are applied as generic rules. You have misconfiguration.

Tnx ... Sorry for delay in answer as didn't ger alert.

I can't update - As u can see from other ticket ... When saying "generic rule" cand that be fixed via DB or any other way? What's "misconfiguration"?

AhoyIT

OK,

managed to install the 2.0.24 ... And still rules apply generic - What can be done?

AhoyIT

Bumping up ... Any idea on how to reset config. as not for all rules to be generic (Al tough specific cats selected)?

Milbo

screenshot of your rule would be nice. Atm I do not really understand what oyu mean, because what I understand works since vm2.0.0 safely.

Hi & 10x,

I'll try to be a bit more clear:

A. Setting up a RULE, applied to ONLY 1 cat. (See screenshot).
B. When adding-to-cart, an item from another cat. - Rule still apllies ... i.e. Rule is generic & cat. selection don't work.
C. I've upgraded my earlier installment of VM 2.0.18a to latest ver. 2.0.24

I've created a test installment on http://www.interflora.co.il/upgrade and also a user for u to have a look (Will PM) ... Select ENG for better navigation.

I am not sure, my hebrew reading is a bit rusty.

But it looks for me that you gave a top category to the rule and you try a product, which is in a subcategory of the topcategory? I am sorry, due performance reasons, categories are not inheriting. That means you must selected all subcategories. Maybe that is the reason?

U've got a ENG side to the website http://www.interflora.co.il/upgrade/en

And no, i've applied rule ONLY to a subcat ,,, and still gets applied to ALL CAT's ... I've also now added the speicifc TOP_CAT of the SUB_CAT but still applied generic.
