How to set sort order of products

How and where do I set up the sort order of products in a category?
Now the products are showed at random. Even when I set up the sort order in de category.

VM:  2.0.22c
Joomla : 2.5.14

I already did this. See attached screenshot. Is it possible that this is something I should change in the template? I seems like the template overrules something here.

To change the default order of products use drag and drop in the backend product list when filtering by category. Click and hold the left icon in the reorder column with 4 arrows.

Hi, I did that in the beginning. After that I tried to change the Product Order Settings' in VM and category config.
So I guess it is in the template. Or is there an other option to change the sort order?

Only drag and drop works for me.
