Customer_comment field required

Hello everybody!

I would like to have my "customer_comment" field in the checkout page as required field before checkout.
So customer must have to fill the form before checkout.

I've looked at this old post http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=104805.0 but without any success

Im using VM2.0.20

Any help will be appreciated
