Custom fields for products Do not clone value

When I clone a product, all informations are cloned expect custom field, I have the title of custom fied but the value are empty. any idea ?

That was fixed in later versions, and works as expected, cloning all data in the current versions VM2.6.12 and VM3.0

I don't want to update because someone has customized my website and I'm afraid to loose lots of customzation, so it's possible to know wich code is change in the new version, wich files must be change for custom fiels please. thx.
