How do I change the Title/comments shown below the image in Lightbox.

There is no title image/text below the image in the current VM version, whether using fancybox or facebox. I don't have an old 2.0.16 version around to see what that one did.

What exactly do you want to display and is there any reason why you still use the old version 2.0.16?
Have a look at the lightbox images on the website mentioned in this link: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=110005.0 (including alt-image tags). That website currently works with VM 2.0.22x. Do you want something similar?

I recheked and found I'm using VM 2.0.18a

Yes, I want to have Product name as Alt tag for images, so that same appears below lighbox.

Hi If you want to use a super sexy and super awesome component you might try mediabox ck, makes your lightbox gorgeous and you can put:
<?php echo $product->product_name ?> in the title tag of your <a>
