need urgent help, product display page customization

hello guys,
i am new to joomla and virtuemart, and not strong in css and so on, i am trying to make a website for a friend, already put some products inside, but now the display sucks and i cant change it, can you tell me how to do it step by step?
for example i want to remove that sort by thing, where to do that? and add other selection functions. also i want bigger thumb to be showed, how to do that? the name next to the thumb is too big, how to make it smaller? and also that buttom (model detail) how can i remove it and in order to see all detail just click on the thumb? please help me, thank you so much. waiting for reply, please be detail because i am not good with css and first time with this system.

If you lack sufficient knowledge of HTML, PHP as well as css and use of template overrides then you really should ask or commission a developer to help you, or use a commercial template that already includes suitable VirtueMart layouts (several on these are in our 3rd party developer forum, http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?board=135.0 ). 

From your questions I would guess that you have not even used Firebug to look at the page code and try some edits?  Start with that, look at the code and try to work out what it does. There is a lot of information in this forum which may help, but we are not here to provide people with detailed templating tutorials.
