Multiple page checkout?

Hi guys.
I am trying a build a new Joomla 2.5 that uses VM2.0
I want the checkout phase to have multiples pages however - as in VM 1.0.
I can't work out a way of doing or this and haven't been able to find a useful extension.
Please advise: is it possible to have multiple page checkout as in most standard e-commerce sites and if so how can this be acheived?
