Basic front end query

Hi,

I'm completely new to Joomla and virtuemart. I have used pretty much every other CMS in the past and so I'm familiar with most features of a standard cms.

I have recently installed Virtue-mart onto a fresh copy of Joomla. My problem is that I'm clueless as how to implement the store into the website and how I achieve anything like what I had seen in the product demo http://demo.virtuemart.net/.

I had assumed that after instillation i would of been presented with some kind of basic frontend template that I could of based my design and layout of off but there is only the standard joomla page.

If the case is that there is no basic frontend setup, could someone link my to a tutorial of how exactly i set my site up with virtue mart because I really don't know where to start!
