Community or people in charge of languages? Spanish translation.....

Hello

Im just wondering who is in charge of the languages, specially for the spanish version, is a community work? or one person?

No offense but the spanish translation is full of errors and seems made by a south american which is NOT the spanish international or traditional language.

We don't say "gracias por su orden" Orden? loled. And the subtotal is not the total etc etc

"Precio costo" seriously? that doesnt even exist.

The translation is so poorly done (sorry to say it) that in the configuration area of VM2 in spanish changes the meaning completely of some features in english, and some directly can't be understood by spanish people.

Actually I have to read the english version to understand what some translations mean.

Don't get me wrong I really appreciate the work done and is great that there are so many language packs available but I don't want to correct the words in each update,

If is a person in charge please put a real spanish guy (from spain= europe) and not a mexican please or can we correct it in an official way? Ill gladly help, as I did in VM1.x version.

Hi,

the first translations into Spanish were contributed by individual forum members, which we moved into to VirtueMart translation project at Transifex at the beginning of this year. Since then the translation is maintained and updated by spanish community members at Transifex. At present we have Spanish and Spanish-Catalan translations on Transifex. I would suggest that you register at Transifex, request to join the Spanish team and contact the coordinator 'el-libre', who is Catalan as far as I know, to discuss improvements. Maybe it would be a good idea split the spanish translation team into Spanish (ES) and Spanish-Mexican (MX).

Thanks JJK I will do that, yes is quite different how we speak here in Spain and how they speak in south american countries (latin)
