[ SOLVED ] Warning: Fail to move file!

Hi Guys, any help please.

Running VM 2.0.12f - installation without any problems - trying to upload product images from front-end without success. Looked for solutions through google, all forums and manual cannot find any.

Problem: cannot upload images from the front end- error message: Warning: fail to move file!


  • Installation: Joomla setup in root - VM and VM AIO installed from backend using Extenstion Manager
    ALL Directories exsist (under vm components and under images/virtuemart.
    All Permissions were 0755 still with same error - then I've tried 0777 still same error perssisted

Works OK for me in same J/VM versions with administrated multivendor turned on.

Maybe a server configuration issue? For a start your PHP version is not recent enough for Joomla 2.5 - should be a minimum of 5.2.4 and preferably 5.3+

Ah, did not see the php requirement - install went through without any problem. But convinced that is the problem. Used VM with other Joomla versions with no problem.
