Virtuemart custom PDF generation

I am using joomla 2.5 with virtuemart 2 to build an insurance brokers website. I need to create a custom pdf after the order has been completed, which will be displayed in the user area and also emailed to them. How would i go about doing this? I know pdf's area created for invoices so hopefully i can modify these?
