Okay I have designed a website for this client and have been having trouble with Virtuemart... Basically everything works up until check-out. I can view the check out page but whether I check out as a guest or logged in, the url uses HTTPS instead of HTTP.

What happens is it acts as if it's going to load the page but times out every time. However, if I replace HTTPS with HTTP, it will load... Is there a way I can get it back to HTTP instead of HTTPS? Please help!

Using Virtuemart 2.5.8 and Virtuemart 2.0.16

You probably need to deselect " Enable SSL for sensitive areas (recommended) " on the Configuration / Shop tab if the host does not support SSL.

As a matter of fact, I did that last week on Monday, January 7th. Soon as I did that and clicked "Save", the frontend of my website was messed up. Basically, the index page went to a blank white. Oddly enough if I were to directly type in the page URLS of some pages to my website, it would also be a blank white, however, if I typed in the page URL of any store page within my website, it would display that without a problem.

So for example, if I typed in "http://thecylnetwork.com/about-us/who-we-are" which is just a regular article page, it would just be a blank white page with no code when you view source from the frontend.

However, if you go to one of the virtuemart store pages such as "http://thecylnetwork.com/products-services" it would display just fine like normal.

That really puzzled me, to the point where I posted here and didn't get much help. I wound up having to have my server admin help to restore it and the site was down a few days.

Before I do that again, I need to know if there are any hard coding or maybe some other alternative I can do to fix this problem. Please help and thank you for your reply!

BTW if it helps, the cart module on my page doesn't display sub-total unless you manually refresh the page... Might this be something?

I still need help with this if there's anyone who is knowledgable on this matter. Thanks.
