Hello Everyone!

I'm a newbie developer and first time to use this VM component for Joomla.  Functionality should be exact same and the products are displayed and added to cart.  Should be exact same. This is the site that we wanted to mirror http://www.saintgermaincatering.com. Is this possible to achieve using the VM2 component?

Your response is highly appreciated. Thanks.

I took a quick look at the catering site, and while I didn't go through every page and every feature, from a quick look yes, I think you can do this with VM2. You'll need to use parent child custom fields to do some of the menu item presentation. And it will take someone who is very good at template and layout to get the VM product pages to look like you want. But it can be done by someone with the right skills.

It looks like the catering company offers delivery and asks customers to select a date and time during checkout. You can use Shopper fields for this in VM2, and place them in your Ship To address section. But be aware there is no logic between the two fields, and no way to enforce order lead times. (But the example site you provided doesn't have those features either. In playing around with their delivery options, the site accepted a date in the past and any time on any day.)

Good luck with your project, and let us know if you need any professional assistance.  :)

Thank you so much for the reply Sir. I will just post it here if I have questions about the software  :)

By the way, do you have a tutorial Sir in overriding the default template of the VM2? I really had a difficulty on changing it  :(

Hi hpodev.guanzon,

Template overrides haven't changed since Joomla! 1.5. VM now uses native Joomla! templating so these 2 tutorials should help you understand how to do it.

Good luck.

Thank you so much Sir Ivus  ;)

By the way, Is it possible to integrate VirtueMart to Quickbooks?

I've tried already searching Sir Ivus. But I didn't find good answer and solutions. So I'd just posted here to ask maybe somebody in this group already tried and could give me answer to my question.

Thanks :)
